For older ones, important swimming skills that are taught include refining all four competitive strokes—freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly—while also focusing on improving endurance for longer swims. These lessons are designed to prepare swimmers for swim team participation, junior lifeguard training, and camp swim tests, ensuring they feel confident and well-equipped for any aquatic challenges ahead.
